Set up is Key

I am watching the Golf Channel Live from the Players. They continually talk about the golf swings of the different players. If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you know it is all about the set up. The set-up determines the swing.

The proof of this is the #1 player, Tiger Woods. His set-up has gotten worse. He can't load on the backswing and he's hitting pop-ups off the tee. His left knee is probably hurting. His ego is bruised. He is not true to himself.

I had a lesson today with a 10 year old girl who is left eye dominant. Her first swings were closed faced backswings. Once she understood how to set up, the clubface was square and the ball striking got much better. She was excited!

My choice for tomorrow, Lucas Glover. He is the closest player to his true self than any of the other leaders. Phil is true to himself as well. I'm not sure about Westwood or Allenby. Tim Clark is not true to himself.

Are you true to yourself?

Thanks,
